To become an eligible participant you must meet the USDA poverty guidelines, set by the federal government. Participants receive groceries once a month, with the food pantry being open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am – 2pm. Also on Tuesdays and Thursdays we serve a hot meal, all are welcome.
Food Pantry Support
Food for our pantry and meal program is supplied through monetary donations. Most of the food is purchased from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. A budget of $120,000 annually maintains this important part of St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center and the people it serves.
Presently we are looking for individuals and businesses of the community who will make a commitment of $3,000 per year, or $250 per month that will help support our food pantry.
