Resilient Women

St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center’s Resilient Women Program has been established to support women as they navigate through life circumstances.  The sessions are designed to help remove barriers and teach capacity building tools needed to sustain their life and their family’s lives.  These sessions will bring peace to the woman’s soul as she journeys through life, plus, lifelong connections!

hours of operation

  • Monday - Friday 8AM-4PM

  • Sessions: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10:30AM-1PM

what is a resilient woman?

  • A resilient woman has perspective. She can always see the bigger picture, and knows life comes with ups and downs.

  • A resilient woman is confident in her abilities, trusts herself, and follows her intuition. She has realistic optimism and knows things will work out for her.

  • A resilient woman has a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset.

  • A resilient woman allows emotions to move through her, while still allowing herself to feel them.

  • A resilient woman takes care of herself.

Resilient Woman Curriculum

All topics are curriculum designed and well thought out to create the best impact for all women participating.

Personal Development 1

Participants will learn how to take negative thoughts and life experiences and turn them into positive thoughts, cancel bad habits, become brand new, and achieve life goals. (8-week sessions)

Personal Development 2

Participants will focus on the process of living and working purposefully towards a vision, in alignment with one’s values and in a state of constant learning about oneself and the reality in which one exists. There will be continued focus on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of life. Improving each of these areas has a positive impact on an individual's life. The individual will become more positive and feel good about herself and will more than likely build a better future for her and her family. (8-week sessions)

Small Group Sessions

Small group sessions were designed to pursue relationships. The first goal is to build each other up and hold one another accountable. Secondly, to meet in small groups will encourage women to uplift one another through times of struggles, and celebrate in good times. Small group session provides additional benefits such as diverse experiences and backgrounds. It helps them to understand one another’s differences without judgement. It provides networking and learning new strategies for life and personal topics of discussion by choice

Resource Sessions

As the participants begin to establish their goals, they often request certain resources that will help them to achieve their goals. We encourage the women to attend all the resource sessions because it will build their capacities to advocate for their families, and community. We tell the women that we are our sister’s keeper and the keeper of our communities
